Allison Hamilton

Growing up in Los Angeles, Spanish has always been a part of my life. I loved it so much that I pursued bachelor’s degrees in Spanish & Latin American Studies from UCLA and a Master’s degree in Latin American Studies from San Diego State University.

I have taught Spanish from pre-K through college in unique academic settings, and each instance reinforced my belief that language, at its essence, is about connection. Using an immersion approach, my class in an invitation to explore, play, and discover the ways that we, as Angelenos, are connected to the Spanish speaking world-near and far.

When not homeschooling my own 2 children I can be found exploring nature, walking dogs, experimenting in the kitchen and looking for ways to support my community.
