Laura Zvonec Hyatt


Laura Zvonec Hyatt, M. A. in Teaching, has dedicated 25 years to education, serving in a variety of roles, including teacher educator, consultant, curriculum developer, programs coordinator, K-12 Teacher, and summer camp founder and director. As a presenter for California Association of the Education of Young Children, Laura shares her dedication to nurturing future leaders.  Over a decade ago, her commitment to leadership and character development led her to establish Peace Camp, a summer day camp in Altadena. Through her camp, she has empowered countless teens and young adults, equipping them with vital skills in building confidence, effective conflict resolution, clear communication, and a strong understanding of advocacy for self and others. Laura is genuinely committed to nurturing the leaders of tomorrow.

Laura's teaching philosophy centers on valuing students' individual passions and interests, encouraging them to find their voice and make a positive impact on the world. Beyond her professional life, Laura is an avid traveler, having explored over 20 states and over 20 countries, always seeking new opportunities for growth. At home, she enjoys creative pursuits like writing poetry, diving into a good book, and relaxing with her dog and cat.
