In this article, I asked all the Trellis Occasional staff what they’re doing for Christmas, and here are their responses.

Trina (teacher)

πŸ‘© For Christmas, Trina is going to her mom’s house in San Pedro. She goes to her mom’s house every year.

Jen (teacher)

πŸŒ±πŸ–ΌοΈπŸ§‘β€πŸ§‘β€πŸ§’β€πŸ§’πŸ›ŒπŸ‘©β€πŸ’» For Christmas, Jen will be planting plants in her garden, doing some drawing and painting, spending time with her family, resting as much as she can, and working on Trellis stuff.

E.S. (student)

πŸ‘΄πŸ‘΅πŸŽ For Christmas, E.S. will be going to her grandparent’s house in San Diego the day after Christmas. She does not have any plans for Christmas Day other than staying home and opening presents.

S.H. (student)

πŸŒ²πŸžοΈπŸ§‘β€πŸ§‘β€πŸ§’β€πŸ§’ For Christmas Eve, S.H. and some of his cousins are going to Sequoia National Park for an ugly sweater contest. For Christmas Day, he will go back to his house to have a small Christmas celebration with his brother and parents.

S.D. (student)

πŸ‡²πŸ‡½πŸ–οΈπŸ¨ For Christmas, S.D. is going with some of her family and extended family to Chacala, Mexico to stay at a beachside resort for a week. She does this almost every year.

P.B. (me)

πŸ‡²πŸ‡½πŸ‘΅πŸ§“πŸ™οΈ For Christmas, I’m going to QuerΓ©taro, Mexico for about a week to visit some of my extended family, including my grandmother, aunts, uncles, and cousins. After New Year’s Day, I’m also going to Mexico City for a few nights before going home. I’ve been to QuerΓ©taro almost every year, but I’ve only been to Mexico City for the past 3 years.
