Here’s the scoop: Trellis fundraiser at Handel’s

by E.S.

As a longtime Trellis student, I remember the first Handel’s fundraiser in the fall of 2024. The ice cream was so delicious and creamy, and I had so much fun because it was one of the first times I had walked over to buy something from a business around Trellis.

Trellis Learning will be having its second fundraiser with Handel's Homemade Ice Cream on Foothill Boulevard on Wednesday, March 25th from 12 to 10pm with 20% of all proceeds going towards Trellis.

You can grab a flyer from the check-in table, pull it up on your phone, or if you place your order online, make sure that you note “Trellis Learning” in the additional instructions box before check-out.

If you are slightly awkward about how to mention you want your purchase to count towards the fundraiser (like me), here are some options that you can say when you go to order your tasty ice cream.

When you go up to the counter, you can say “Hi, I’m here for the Trellis Fundraiser. Can I get a _____?”

They also have 48 flavors to choose from, with options ranging from vegan chocolate ice cream to mango sorbet to unique flavors such as blueberry cheesecake chunk.

A useful tip to know when you go there (because I know you will, who doesn't love ice cream?) is that they serve very big sizes here, so getting a size smaller than you think you should is probably a good idea.

Trellis Occasional student reporter Sabine D will be getting “a small scoop of chocolate chunk in a waffle cone.”

Personally, I don’t know what I will be ordering yet, but I can’t wait for tomorrow!

We hope to see you at Handel’s Ice Cream!
